The only bike most people will ever need. Built for the city, at home everywhere, and designed so you spend your time riding rather than maintaining.

About the Zeppo
The Orb Zeppo is the only bike most people will ever need. It is at home on city streets, country roads, towpaths and the odd gravel track.
The 6061 alloy frame provides a high-quality lightweight chassis, paired with disc brakes and 32 mm tyres as standard. Shimano Nexus 8 hub gears and a Gates CDX carbon belt drive keep maintenance to an absolute minimum.
What’s new in the v.8
After the success of the Zeppo v.7, we felt that little needed to change. However, there is always room for improvement and we’ve made the v.8 even better by adding:
No hill too big? We put this to the test by riding the Orb Zeppo v.8 up Bealach na Ba, the UK’s biggest climb on public roads.

In brief
Every component was chosen to be robust, reliable and low maintenance.

The Gates carbon belt replaces the chain. No oil, no grease, and an average lifespan of around 30,000 km.

Shimano Nexus 8 internal gears with a 307% range, and Tektro HD-T275 hydraulic discs for high-power stopping in all conditions.

Anti-theft Droid lights front and rear, and colour-matched alloy mudguards to keep your legs dry through the winter.

A 6061 alloy frame and fork keep the weight to 11 kg, on 700c wheels with 32 mm Kenda tyres that suit city and country alike.

Drivetrain
The Gates carbon belt drivetrain means less time spent on maintenance and more time enjoying your new ride. No greasy trousers and no oily calf marks. A splash of water now and then is all the belt needs.
With bike spares often hard to come by, the Gates belt drive will be your best friend. Average lifespans are around 30,000 km, so you won’t have to worry about changing it for many years, if ever.
Gears and brakes
This is the business end of a bike, so we chose proven parts. Shifting is provided by a Shimano Nexus 8 hub: reliable, robust and low maintenance, with nothing to bend or clog.
Meanwhile, front and rear Tektro 275 hydraulic disc brakes with 160 mm rotors will have you stopping on a sixpence in all weathers.

Lights and mudguards
The Zeppo v.8 has you covered. Alloy mudguards keep road spray off you and look right on the bike.
Our Droid anti-theft lights mean you’re always ready for the dark. These be-seen lights are designed to be left on the bike and, with up to 40 hours of battery life, they’ll keep you visible ride after ride.

Caring for your Zeppo
The best thing for all bikes is to keep them somewhere warm and dry. Clean your bike regularly, and keep an eye on bolts and components to make sure they are tight and working correctly.
The Zeppo is designed to be low maintenance. The belt drive does not require oiling, but if it begins to squeak, clean it with water. Wax is also available to buy for belt drives. The internal gears are designed to need minimal intervention, but like everything else on your bike they will last longer if kept maintained. If you think something needs adjustment, take your bike to your local bike shop.

The Zeppo v.8
The bike is great. I bought it because it had great reviews online. However when it arrived there were a few issues. Firstly the bike was delivered without any tracking or delivery option. (not what you expect one a prodcut of this price). I also had the impression the bike had been in the box a long time and some details on the bike weren’t dealt with well. I emailed the company twice without any reply at all. That is disappointing for a product like that and a customer service well below par.
Hi Leon, glad you’re enjoying the bike, and sorry we haven’t seen your email! I’ll get in touch straight away.
Andrew
Covered over 5000km now on the Zeppo V.8, it’s only needed a slight gearing adjustment, apart from that maintenance free! The saddle is really comfy and I can get away without padded shorts for getting to and from work which is a bonus, cornering is easy and no wheel overlap for the first time on a bike for me. Everything has been thought of, Droid lights are brilliant, ended up getting another set for another bike and I don’t have to think about mud guards or oiling a chain. It really is the perfect commuting bike, hoping for many more 1000’s of Km’s, thanks Orb for a quality bike!
Highly recommend the Orb V8 bike. Were using a number of those bikes for our bicycle hire business, lots of miles covered in harsh conditions, yet to find any faults with this bike. What’s important for us is customer service, Andrew @ orb has been great. If your looking for a stylish maintenance free bike then look no further.
I took delivery of my Orb Zeppo V.8 last week and have just started to have my first proper rides – and it’s superb. Smooth, quiet, comfy, and the gearing and drive are a huge improvement over every bike I’ve ever tried! What a magnificent piece of engineering. This is my first premium bicycle, and the first time I’ve hesitantly stepped outside of big bike brands. I’m pretty sure it was the right choice.
I love the Zeppo. I bought it to replace my cheap bike that needed constant maintenance and was definitely an effort to cycle to work with. The Zeppo is such a smooth ride and I love that I’ll no longer have to deal with rusty/oily chains or worry about not being able to stop at traffic lights! My colleagues have all commented on how sleek it looks. It’s also the lightest bike I have ever owned (I can lift it with one arm!) which makes it very speedy! I’m very excited to for my easy life of cycling now 🙂
