1/3 serious accidents are caused by a side impact from a vehicle. The Orb keeps you safe and seen from the side at night. The Orb functions as a water bottle, but the lid contains four super-bright LEDs that illuminate the bottle.
It allows drivers to see cyclists as they approach them from the side, using orange lights – the colour of side visibility on the road. The Orb also makes use of the phenomenon of “biomotion” – by highlighting the pedalling motion of the rider’s legs, drivers have been found to identify cyclists from over three times further away.

We’ve created a new modular design to make it easy for you to remove the electronics unit for easier cleaning. Each piece of the light is also designed to be completely user-repairable with spare parts provided by us, so with a little love and care you can keep your Orb running for years to come.
It’s also brighter. We’ve used brand new high-output LEDs, which mean even more light to keep you safe and seen at night. And the Orb MKII supports USB-C charging (the new universal standard cable) so it’s future-proofed and compatible with more of your devices.

Such a well thought out bike light / bottle, battery life is excellent only needing to charge it every few weeks and its really easy to clean / maintain. All the parts are user serviceable so better for the environment. Lots of flashing and pulse options too. First time using on particularly bad roundabouts I’ve had too many near misses on, both cars saw me and stopped, which was a nice change! Highly recommended👍

I received my double Orbs this week and immediately charged them up and tried them out. Last Wednesday I rode for about 1 hour halfway twilight. It works very well. It’s maybe a bit of an odd combination: white light at the front, yellow in the middle and red light at the tail end. I wonder what car drivers made of it. But visible I was.
About the design: I very much like that you can remove the electrical parts and put the non-electrical parts in the dishwasher. It was also easy to drink from the bottle. That seems to be a given, but I have some bottles where the mouth piece is hard to open. This bottle is quite flexible, which I like.
All in all a good product I’d say.

The Orb MKII bottle looks great and does the job of ensuring I stay visible from all angles when on my bike! I didn’t realise it had six different flashing and light settings – I’ve flipped between a few so far depending on the time of day and where I am riding. Also super easy to clean!

10/10 would recommend!
I bought the Orb MKII for my partner who bikes to work. Especially in the winter, I worry about his safety in the dark. Orb is the trick! It’s an exceptional product because:
• bright light keeps cyclists safe and visible, especially from the side
• easy to charge (we have two, one on the bike and one on the charger)
• sturdy design (especially on/off buttons and charging ports) will withstand use and weather.
• fits in the water bottle holder / doesn’t require fancy installation. To the biker, it is invisible when in use.
• supports a small business / creative entrepreneur.
This would be a great gift for any cycling enthusiasts. Andrew, thanks for persevering through the kickstarter process to get such a cool product launched.
